Love can’t really exist, can it ? [00]

It was a fall day, two years ago when he had broken up with her. It was meant to be. For the past few months they had grown apart, they were quite distant. Recently enough, the boy next door had moved in and he could tell that she had fallen; fallen hard. They quickly ended everything. But, it; not everything made him feel like that today was the biggest mistake of his life.

He was walking past the local Ben and Jerry’s, gaping at the new, interesting flavors that were recently put out for the holidays. Then, it hit him; the unwanted memory of the date after the date.

“Riles, no!” I suddenly screamed as a pink, strawberry frozen yogurt went flying in the air of our local Ben and Jerry’s.

“Thank you very much, Travis” I smiled at her. Even when she was sarcastic, it was lovely.

After that night, I swore to never have a strawberry frozen yogurt again. It was too much of a memory, or a stain, actually.

I continued along my path to work, happy enough to get through crowds of people walking into the aquarium of Houston. Even though Riley had put a damper on me, I was persistent enough to get through it. I mean, she couldn’t be having that much fun, could she?
